Mercedes E-Class, V-Class, S-Class or Sprinter: Choosing the Right Car

Our fleet is deliberately small: four Mercedes models, each chosen for a specific kind of journey. The Mercedes E-Class, the Mercedes V-Class, the Mercedes S-Class and the Sprinter Luxury VIP. When clients ask which one to book, the answer depends on three things: how many people are travelling, how much luggage they have and what the journey is for. This guide describes each vehicle plainly and explains when the choice really matters.

Mercedes E-Class: the sensible business choice

The Mercedes E-Class is a refined, discreet saloon for one to three passengers. It is quiet, comfortable on the motorway and easy to move through Milan's narrow streets. For daily business travel, airport transfers for one or two people with standard luggage and meetings across the city, it is the sensible choice. It does not draw attention, which many business travellers prefer.

The E-Class is not the right car for large amounts of luggage, ski bags or golf bags, or for more than three passengers. For those, the V-Class is better.

Mercedes V-Class: families and small groups

The Mercedes V-Class is our most booked vehicle for airport arrivals. It seats up to seven passengers, has sliding doors that make getting in and out easy, and offers real luggage space. Families with children and suitcases, small groups of colleagues, friends travelling together and ski groups with equipment all fit well. The seating can face each other in conference style, which helps on longer journeys when a group wants to talk or work.

For long routes, such as Malpensa to St. Moritz, Zermatt or the Dolomites, the V-Class is the usual choice for groups, because it carries both people and luggage without compromise.

Mercedes S-Class: when the car is part of the impression

The Mercedes S-Class is the flagship saloon, and the version we use has extended rear legroom, built to be driven in rather than to drive. It is the standard for board members, VIP guests, fashion week clients and anyone for whom the arrival is part of the occasion. It is also the most comfortable car for long journeys for one or two people: the rear seat is designed for rest, calls and work.

Like the E-Class, the S-Class is a saloon, so it suits one to three passengers with standard luggage. It offers more space and comfort for the people, not more room for bags.

Sprinter Luxury VIP: groups that want to stay together

The Sprinter Luxury VIP carries up to eight passengers with all their luggage in a single cabin, with a VIP interior and space to move. It is the right choice for teams, film crews, large families and wedding parties who want to travel together instead of in two or three cars. For larger groups, it can be paired with a V-Class under one booking.

When the choice matters most

The choice is easiest when the group and the luggage decide it. Four people with ski bags need a V-Class; eight people need the Sprinter. It matters more when there is a real choice: for example, two people travelling from Malpensa to Lake Como could take an E-Class, an S-Class or a V-Class. In that case, think about what the journey is for. A business traveller with a laptop may prefer the quiet of the S-Class. A couple with a lot of luggage may prefer the space of the V-Class. Someone who simply wants a comfortable, efficient transfer will be well served by the E-Class.

What every vehicle has in common

Every vehicle in our fleet is driven by a licensed, professional driver, kept clean and maintained, and booked at a fixed, written price that includes VAT, fuel, tolls and parking. Airport pick-ups include meet and greet with a name sign and flight tracking, whatever the vehicle. The difference between the cars is space and comfort, not the level of service.

Prices

Fixed prices for the main airport routes and for Lake Como are shown on each route page, by vehicle. Hourly rates for each vehicle are on our chauffeur service page. For other routes we send a written quote, usually within 30 minutes.

How to choose

If you are unsure, send us the number of passengers, the luggage and the route, and tell us what matters most to you: comfort, space, discretion or keeping the group together. We will suggest the right vehicle and explain why.
