Getting to Fiera Milano Rho by Car: Drop-Off, Timing and Traffic

Fiera Milano in Rho is one of the largest exhibition centres in Europe, on the north-western edge of Milan, next to the motorways that lead to Malpensa, Turin and Lake Maggiore. It hosts some of the world's best-known trade fairs: the Salone del Mobile in April, MIDO for eyewear, the Milano Home lifestyle fair, HOST for hospitality and EICMA for motorcycles, among many others. If you are exhibiting or visiting, getting there and back is a daily logistics question.

Upcoming fairs with announced dates

Here are some of the dates published by the organisers at the time of writing. EICMA 2026 runs from 3 to 8 November 2026, with the public days from 5 November. Milano Home is listed for 21 to 24 January 2027. MIDO 2027 is scheduled for 6 to 8 February 2027. The Salone del Mobile 2027 takes place from 13 to 18 April 2027. HOST, which is held every two years, returns in October 2027. Always check the official fair website before you book travel, because dates can change.

Travel times from Milan and the airports

On an ordinary weekday at mid-morning, Google Maps gives about 35 minutes from the Duomo area to Fiera Milano, about 30 minutes from Linate and about half an hour from Malpensa Terminal 1, which is on the same side of the city. These are normal-traffic figures. On the opening days of major fairs, the access roads around the site become congested at the start and end of each day.

When traffic peaks

The busiest moments are the hour before the halls open and the hour after they close, when exhibitors and visitors arrive and leave together. Arriving early, before the main wave, is the single best way to save time. Leaving a little before closing, or staying for a drink and leaving after the peak, makes the return much easier. Your driver watches the traffic and will suggest the best moment.

Drop-off and pickup

The exhibition centre has several entrances, and the halls are long: choosing the wrong gate can mean a walk of many minutes. Tell your driver which halls you need and they will choose the most convenient entrance. For the return, agree a time and a meeting point before you go in. If your plans change, a message to the driver or to our office on WhatsApp, +39 02 0995 2588, is enough.

Exhibitors: more than one trip a day

Exhibitors often need more than a ride in the morning and one in the evening: samples, catalogues, client visits, dinners in town. An hourly booking keeps a car and driver available for the day, with a minimum of four hours, and you can use the car to collect clients from their hotels or take them to dinner after the fair. For larger teams, the Mercedes V-Class carries up to seven people and the Sprinter Luxury VIP up to eight with luggage.

Staying near the fair or in the city

Many visitors stay in central Milan and commute to Rho; others choose hotels near the fair to avoid the traffic. With a car, staying in the city is easy if you leave early. If your evenings are spent at dinners in the centre, a hotel in town is often the better choice, and the driver handles the commute.

Arriving directly from the airport

Because Fiera Milano is on the road from Malpensa to the city, many guests go straight from the terminal to the fair on their arrival day, with their luggage in the car. Your driver tracks the flight and waits in the arrivals hall. At Malpensa, 60 minutes of waiting from the actual landing are included.

Book early for big fairs

During the largest fairs, chauffeur services in Milan are in high demand. As soon as your dates are confirmed, ask us for a quote. Prices are fixed in writing and include VAT, fuel, tolls and parking, so your budget for the week is clear from the start.
