Chalets on steep lanes
Méribel sits in the middle of the Three Valleys, about 365 km from Malpensa. The drive follows the Mont Blanc tunnel route as far as Moûtiers, then turns up the Méribel valley to the resort and to Méribel-Mottaret above it. Many chalets here stand on narrow, steep lanes, and after heavy snow a large vehicle may not reach every door. Send us the chalet address in advance and we will tell you plainly which car gets closest. The V-Class carries seven guests with ski bags; two travellers with light luggage are comfortable in the S-Class. Hotels on this route include Le Kaila and Hotel Le Grand Coeur & Spa. From central Milan, allow about 4 hours 35 minutes, more on winter Saturdays, when the whole Tarentaise changes guests on the same day.
