Driving times are Google Maps estimates for a weekday in normal traffic. Every day can be changed: the route below is a starting point.

Day by day

  1. Day 1

    Paris to Beaune, Burgundy

    Driving: about 3 h 15 min, 312 km (about 3 h 30 min from Charles de Gaulle)

Your chauffeur collects you at your hotel in Paris or at the airport. South-east to Beaune, the wine capital of Burgundy, whose Hospices, the 15th-century Hôtel-Dieu with its patterned roof, are open to visitors.

  2. Day 2

    Burgundy wine villages

A day along the Côte d'Or: Pommard, Meursault and the villages of the Côte de Nuits, with tastings booked in advance. With a driver, nobody in the group has to think about the car.

  3. Day 3

    Beaune to Chamonix

    Driving: about 3 h 10 min, 304 km

East towards the Alps and into the Chamonix valley under Mont Blanc. The Aiguille du Midi cable car rises to a terrace facing the summit, weather permitting.

  4. Day 4

    Chamonix to Courmayeur

Driving: about 35 min, 22 km

Through the Mont Blanc Tunnel into Italy. Courmayeur is the Italian side of the mountain, with the Skyway Monte Bianco cable car and a lively village centre. A short driving day with time to go up the mountain.

  5. Day 5

    Courmayeur to Lake Como

    Driving: about 3 h 25 min, 277 km

Down the Aosta Valley, past its castles, and across Lombardy to Bellagio on Lake Como. Evening by the lake.

  6. Day 6

    A day on Lake Como

Ferries or a private boat to Varenna, Tremezzo and the villas of the lake, or a quiet day at the hotel. The car is there if you need it.

  7. Day 7

    Lake Como to Milan

    Driving: about 1 h 30 min, 75 km (or about 3 h 40 min to Venice)

The tour ends at your hotel in Milan or at the airport. Guests continuing to Venice can be driven straight to Piazzale Roma instead.
